Hey Arnold! the Series
Storyboards
My start in storyboarding was at Hey Arnold! in the late 1990s. These are a few of my favorite sequences. Unlike today's digitally drawn boards, these were drawn pencil on paper with cut out drawings pieced together by a lot of tape.
The Journal
Arnold discovers his father’s journal in the series finale, learning how his parents met. With physical gags and action sequences, I was lucky to draw this epic moment in Arnold’s history.
School Play
Helga convinces other girls to drop the part of Juliet so she'll be cast opposite Arnold as Romeo. Featuring Helga at her most manipulative, I really enjoyed pushing her acting to humorous extremes.
The Pig War
This adventurous episode mixed action sequences with funny dialog, allowing me to include a variety of filmmaking devices from cinematic landscapes to physical comedy.
